ASARI DOKUBO SPEAKS!
Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, the leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force, NDPSF, and one of the arrowheads in the struggle to redress perceived injustice in the Niger Delta has said that Biafra will be independent whether some people in the country like it or not.
Dokubo-Asari who said that he is a Biafran and not a Nigerian also said that the current agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra is not a call for war but that “Leave us let us go.”
He said, Like Pharaoh, the Hebrews should be allowed to leave the north, maintaining that anybody who would not let Biafra go will drown in the Red Sea. “They will drown if they pursue us.”
Corroborating what the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had said some days back, Alhaji Dokubo-Asari also said that the current agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra is not a call for war but that of self independence.
Alhaji Asari-Dokubo said, “I’m not a Nigerian. Nations are not imposed on people. People don’t sit down in Berlin or anywhere and make people Nigerians. Nations are created by the will of the people.
My people have never accepted Nigeria and so, how can I be a Nigerian? Nobody can impose Nigeria on me.”
The free will of the people create nations. If everybody gathered together, the Ijaw people, you know which includes the kalabari people, nobody forced the Kalabari people to become Ijaw people, because naturally, they know they are Ijaw people.”
nobody will force an Owerri man, an Nkwere man to be an Igbo person, he naturally knows he is an Igbo person.”
“So, if we want to be Nigerians, then we have to sit down, and decide for ourselves that today, we are going to be, or as separate identities, and accept Nigeria as our country, as our nation and we become Nigerians. We’ve not done that.”
When I go up north, do they see me as a Nigerian? They don’t! They call me ‘Nyamiri.’ They call me Nyamiri! When I go to Yoruba land, do they see me as a Nigerian? They call me ‘Omo Kobokobo.’ That’s what they call me! O
When a Yoruba man goes up north, they call him ‘Oyede Banza.’ When a Fulani man comes up to Yoruba land, what do they call him? They call him Gambari
I used to hear a story that there were about three people in a bus and the driver asked the conductor, how many people were in the bus and the conductor said two persons and one Gambari. He said shut up your mouth, is Gambari not a human being? But the conductor said that is your business o, me I know that in this bus there are two persons and one Gamari.”

Sola Fosudo: "I Left Nollywood For A N5,000 Lecturing Job In LASU
Sola Fosudo, a veteran Nollywood actor who went on to become a lecturer at the Lagos State University (LASU), has disclosed why he made the decision.
Sola Fosudo who is now Professor revealed that he started off as a theatre practitioner, but applied for a job at Lagos State University, Ojo when he saw an advert which stated that the English Language Department of the school was looking for a lecturer who had a background in theatre arts.
Here are excerpts from the interview Sunday Scoop had with Sola Fosudo;
Would you say it was easy for you to attain professorship?
Professorship is not a political position that people fight for or seek elections to. There are criteria for evaluating the application of anyone for a position in the university. When you have the needed number of publications to apply for a position, you will apply and it will go through necessary procedures. Once you are qualified, you will be appointed as a professor.
When did you start focusing more on academics?
I think in everything one does in life, there is the hand of God in it. Though I started as a theatre practitioner, at some point, I saw an advert where the English Language Department of the Lagos State University, Ojo, was looking for a lecturer who had a background in theatre arts and I applied. Then, I was not just an actor; I was directing and producing plays both on stage and screen. I had already produced about four video films as of then.
I applied to LASU, passed the interviews and was employed. But when I joined LASU in 1994, some people felt I was unserious or insane. I was already earning N150, 000 to appear in movies. I had featured in popular movies like Glamour Girls, True Confession and a host of others. However, when I joined LASU as a Lecturer 2 in 1994, my salary was N5,000.
A few years after joining LASU, I was instrumental to the establishment of the Theatre Arts Department. I joined the English Language Department, but I later applied to the Department of Theatre Arts, which started in 2001. For me, this is a major achievement as many students have passed through the department.
Why did you leave acting for lecturing?
I was happy with the industry at the time I moved to LASU, but I have always looked forward to growth and I knew LASU would be a platform for me to make a bigger contribution to the development of theatre in Nigeria. Development theatre in Nigeria should not be only through films but also by training people.
Even before I went to study theatre arts, I was a professional teacher. I love teaching and reading. So, when I saw the lecturing advert, I was attracted by the fact that a theatre person was needed.
How did you cope with N5,000 as salary at LASU?
I was not bothered about the salary because I was still acting until years later when I became busier with the school job. For the first few years as a lecturer, I was still getting some additional income from productions.
Meanwhile, it is incorrect to say I have left acting for lecturing. I am doing the two and I am not the only one doing this. We have many lecturers who are in the university and are also theatre practitioners. We call them scholar-artistes. For me, it means one is relevant both in theory and practice. We can be practitioners in different ways, but most people recognise actors better because they are always on television. This does not mean other practitioners are not playing their roles well" - IndaNews

Female Lawyer Stabs Husband To Death, Severs His Genital In Lagos
A female lawyer has allegedly stabbed her husband to death and severed his genital and placed it on his right hand at Diamond Estate, Sango-Tedo area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
The tragedy, which occurred around 7:30am on Thursday, was described by the police as an eyesore.
The deceased, Otike Odibi, 50, from Kwale, Delta State, also a lawyer has been married to his wife, Udeme Odibi, 47, from Akwa Ibom State, for three years without a child.
SP Chike Oti, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State said the Divisional Police Officer, Ogombo, Ajah, Lagos, received a distress call at about 0730hrs, that one Mr. Otike Odibi, was allegedly killed in his home at Diamond Estate, Sango-Tedo Lagos, by his wife, one Mrs Udeme Odibi.
“Based on the information, the DPO mobilised a team of detectives to the scene where they found the man lying on the bed in the pool of his own blood, with his stomach ripped open exposing the intestine. As if that was not enough, the killer severed his genital and placed it on his right hand.
“However, before the arrival of the Police, Mrs Udeme who had unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide after allegedly killing her husband, was rushed to the hospital for treatment by neighbours.
“Sequel to the above, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi, directed Crime Scene Detectives from the homicide section of the SCID Panti Yaba and Forensic experts to the scene to aid in the investigation,” he said.
According to Oti, eye witness account revealed that the couple, both whom are lawyers, were married three years ago after the deceased divorced his first wife.
“The deceased first marriage produced a daughter currently schooling in the UK. However the current marriage is said to be without a child. Further information from a neighbour, revealed that the deceased called him on phone in the night before he was murdered, complaining that the wife was threatening to kill him with a knife.
“The said neighbour, however, warned him to be careful. The deceased also called his mother and his younger sister complaining of threat to his life that fateful night,” he said.
However, CP noted that not too long ago, a husband allegedly killed his wife and baby in Banana Island Lagos, as he therefore advised couples to learn to resolve their matrimonial disputes without resorting to violence.

HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MEGHAN MARKLE’S BROTHER WRITES EXPLOSIVE LETTER TELLING PRINCE HARRY TO CALL OFF THEIR WEDDING [LETTER]
Meghan Markle’s estranged half-brother has written an open letter telling Prince Harry his big day will be the “biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.
Thomas Markle Junior, who shares a father with the former Suits actress, told the 33-year-old royal it is “not too late” to call off the May 19 union.
As more time passes to your royal wedding, it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history,” Tom cautions. “Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.”
Her half-brother also claims the actress is a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage.” “I’m confused why you don’t see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees.
Meghan’s attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old,” he says. “What kind of person starts out by using her own father until he’s bankrupt, then forgets about him in Mexico leaving him broke, over mostly all her debts.
And when it’s time to pay him back she forgets her own father like she never knew him.” Thomas, who has had several run-ins with the law, is no longer in touch with his sister.
Tom, who just a few months prior admitted to holding out hope pf securing an invite to the Royal Wedding, cruelly continued of Meghan: “It’s very apparent that her tiny bit of Hollywood fame has gone to her head.
Not to mention, to top it all off, she doesn’t invite her own family and instead invites complete strangers to the wedding. Who does that?” “You and the royal family should put an end to this fake fairytale wedding before it’s too late.”
The couple are due to wed on May 19th. “Meghan is still my sister. She is family. So whatever happens is up to her, whether she wants to forget knowing me or the rest of her family, family comes first. Also, you would think that a royal wedding would bring a torn family closer together, but I guess we’re all distant family to Meg,” Thomas concluded.

Facebook Scam Alert!
A Facebook user Alex Best Odiegwu was feeling annoyed and made a post about the man whose pictures are attached herein.. He posted;...
THIS MAN DEFRAUDED ME AT SHERATON HOTEL ABUJA:
BEWARE OF HIM AND PLEASE SHARE UNTIL WE FIND HIM!!!
On 9th April 2018, the man in this picture (now at large) walked into my office at Wuse Zone 3 Shopping Complex, Abuja. He said he needed some office items as he was setting up an office. There was a Mac mini device he needed which I did not have. I took him to EMAB Plaza where we searched but could not find the device. So we went to Silverbird where he bought an office table and a chair and he paid cash.
He succeeded in making me believe that he was indeed setting up an office. He then gave me an appointment to meet him the next day, 10th April, 2018, at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja where he claimed he was lodging. At about 7:30am the next day, he called me with 08147457422 to meet him at Sheraton Hotel. He asked me to bring along an Apple laptop (UK-used Mac book air) a pouch and a bag, all amounting to N220,000.00.
I met him at Sheraton having breakfast at the restaurant. I observed he was very cordial with the waiters and waitresses, even calling them by their first names. A man who apparently ate with him stood up from his table and hurriedly left. He told me he just paid the man for office shelves, table and chairs for his new office and he just transferred money. So I handed over the requested items. He tried to transfer money to me using his mobile app and it showed that his daily transaction limit had been exhausted. I did not know he was setting me up.
While I had no reason to doubt his genuineness but without knowing what prompted me, I took a picture of him without his knowledge. He then said he was going “upstairs” to bring his cheque book. He came back to the restaurant with an Eco Bank cheque booklet. He handed over a leaflet with my name and N220,000. Somehow I just looked at the amount and my name and dashed off with what I thought was “Eco Bank cheque”. I was in front of the bank when I saw I had an “Oceanic Bank cheque”. Why I did not see it earlier remains a mystery to me till date. I do not know if I was a victim of ‘jazz’ or I merely fell to two days mind conditioning.
As soon as I realized I was given an Oceanic Bank cheque fraud alert bell rang in my head because Oceanic Bank is not an existing bank. The cheque belongs to ‘Echefu Christoper Odinakachukwu’. I ran back to Sheraton. Lo, he had disappeared from the restaurant. I reported to the hotel officials and it turned out he was not a guest! Sheraton Restaurant staff said they had been looking for “us” to pay our bill of N14,000. They insisted I must pay for “our breakfast”, which was for three! I had to rally friends to come to my aid and the money was paid.
It took time before hotel staff would believe that I was a victim of fraud. We checked the Sheraton CCTV recordings together and saw how the conman ran away from the hotel without paying for the breakfast he took with his friend. The hotel chief security led me to lodge a report with SARS at Abattoir. They asked me to bring N50,000 to track the phone number, which I did not have. I however gave them N5,000 I had left on me. I have waited since then to see if the police would have, all to no avail. The police has not got back to me on any findings. The hotel management has also not said anything further. The line the man used (08147457422) never rang again after the incident.
I have decided to bring the issue to the good public, perhaps if the good people reading this can keep sharing this it may get to the fraudster or to people who know him would see it and call him out. It is also important to put this out to warn unsuspecting prospective victims to beware of this conman. He looks well fed, successful and innocent, which is very dangerous. I am just a young man struggling to make out my capital since I took to business after my graduation a few years ago. I took the laptop the fraudster defrauded me of from a neighbor, to sell with a little margin. This is how I survive. Not believing my story, the owner of the laptop reported me at the Zone 3 Complex Police Post. I have started paying back for the laptop in agreed staggered instalments.
PLEASE help me share this as far as possible. This evil man cannot steal N220,000.00 from a struggling young man, make me pay for his breakfast in Sheraton and go on with impunity to defraud other victims. Please share until he is arrested or he comes back to pay me my N220,000.00 and the N14,000.00 he left for me at Sheraton Hotel Abuja where he was forming 'bigman'.
