SLAVERY IN LIBYA!

While we're getting all up in arms over tweets and community scandals, African migrants are LITERALLY getting AUCTIONED OFF in a slave trade in Libya right now. How is this not THE trending topic on all of our newsfeeds at the moment? And Libya is not the only country where this is happening. We always claim that we have an obligation to check our own people -- the atrocities we are committing against our black African brothers and sisters is something we as humans will have to collectively answer to one day. Where are our priorities and what are we doing to destroy the inherent anti-blackness that's undeniably pervasive within Arab and Muslim countries abroad as well as our own cultural and religious communities here at home when we can't even acknowledge it as a problem we have to address?
